Wally-World made my day!

Walmart made my day today! I took the afternoon off to do some cleaning and things. Plus just to get out of the office before some events start happening and I won't be able to take off. But I went to Walmart and I just happened to see a magnetic curtain rod that will magnitize to my front door and I can make curtains to cover the window in the door. (I just don't like the thought of people being able to look in.) For the last few months we have just been sticking a dish towel over the door and closing the door to cover the window. I'M WAY EXCITED that I can have curtains instead of a dish towel! WOO HOO!!!! How sad is it that find that curtain rod MADE my day?! lol. I'll take picture once i make my halloween themed curtain. :)

hello...

Nothing new. Just wanted to say HELLO.

Work has been crazy busy for both of us lately. I am looking forward to a nice relaxing weekend. Looks like we are still planning on going to Jackson WY this weekend. I'll try to get some good pictures. Hopefully the colors are changing nicely.

Cowboy Max

Today was "Howdy Day" at Preschool. Max loved saying "yee-haw" all day today. So cute!

Natalie's Boys

We are all so glad that Steve is home from Iraq, especially Natalie & the boys!
Only Sam is truly sleeping in this picture. Dallin is obviously awake, and I doubt Steve smiles like that in his sleep. LOL.

Another Monday

Well, this morning i had to attend THE MOST BORING 2 hour meeting ever! They usually aren't this bad, but people were just talking about non-important things and we got off topic SO many times. It was truly painful!

This weekend, i didn't do too much. I wasn't feeling all that fantastic, so i rent some chic-flics and watched them. Kevin worked ALL DAY Saturday on a painting he had commissioned. So we look forward to getting the second payment for that. :)

Sunday was good. We only had one of our little sun beam boys, but we were asked to take an older class of girls that their teachers didn't show up. It was different having all those girls, when we are used to all our little boys. But it was still fun.

Well, another Monday has come and gone and another week has started. Hopefully i'll get everything done that i need to this week. Hopefully i remember everything.

Craig & Shalece -- Chris & Monett -- CONGRATULATIONS on our purchases of your new homes!!!

Pictures of Moroni

OK, here are some pictures i took during the 30 min process of the Angel Moroni being placed on the Rexburg LDS Temple. It now looks officially like a Temple. Oh, i'll also attach a picture of what the temple looks like from our front door, now that they are lighting up the spire. The morning picture was taken yesterday morning before the Angel Moroni was placed on the spire. I guess they aren't quite in order...but oh well. Enjoy!

Moroni in the rain

Well, we pretty much shut down the office this morning and walked/stood out in the rain and freezing temps to watch the Angel Moroni be placed on the Rexburg LDS Temple. I took like 105 pictures, i'm not sure if they will all turn out. I'll try to post some tomorrow. It was way cool to see!

Storage space created

Well, we thought when we moved to Idaho that moving into a 2-bedroom would be so much nicer than our one bedroom we had in CA. Well we had a storage room in CA that we don't have here. So some of our stuff is at jeffrey's house, but then we had quite a few rubbermaid containers in the comptuer room/art studio. Well we decided to do what we did in college to create storage space. We bought cinder blocks and placed our bed on them. I first wrapped them in towels, just incase you kick them, it will be softer. :) The picture doesn't do justice, but the bed is literally at the level of my hip! Taking a few of those rubbermaid containers and sticking them under the bed, really opened up the 2nd bedroom.

toys

So Kevin & I got out our toys for Karter to play with this weekend and it looks like everyone joined in the fun. One pic of the 3 boys playing and then Barb playing by her self. She is seperating the good Star Wars characters from the evil ones. lol. Karter crawled over and destroyed it after the pic was taken.

Me, Kat, & Nat

So this picture is a little out dated, but I like it. It's probably the only picture i have of me, my sister and our cousin Katherine. Well atleast the only one as adults. I'm sure we have pics of us, but i would have been like 6 years old. LOL. This was taken the day Kevin & I were leaving California after our cruise this past April to come back to Idaho. Kat was hanging out with Natalie for another day or two. Natalie is way prego, she actually had Dallin a month and 10 days after this picture was taken.

Fun Weekend - Lazy Sunday

Well, unfortunatly i didn't get to head down to UT this weekend like i was hoping to see Kate, Sarah and Cat. But Jeff, Barbara, and Karter came out. Karter had his pictures taken on Saturday at the studio. He is SUCH a big kid. He was crawling all over the apartment. We aren't baby proofed so we had to pull him away from some things, but nothing too big. We spent like 3 hours at the studio viewing their pictures helping them widdle them down to 26. Now they have to go through those and make their final choices. Good luck!

I was a baking fool this weekend. I made 4 loaves of zuchini bread and 3 dozen rolls. I still have zuchini left that i have to make into bread, but i just couldn't make myself do it anymore yesterday. So, i'll make some tonight to get it over and done with.

We played Canasta Caliente this weekend, Jeff & Barb kicked our butts on saturday, and i was obviously bitter. Though on Sunday we were the come back kids. We were loosing till the final hand and we came back and won by like 250-300 points. WOO HOO!

I was so tired after the left that i slept like the ENITRE afternoon and evening. Around 4pm i fell asleep and kevin took me to bed around 11:30. Fell right back to sleep and didn't get up until 6:45am! WOW, why was i so tired!?

I'll post some pics hopefully tomorrow of the boys and the toys.

Random posting

OK, so i just have some random thoughts for now.

My sister Natalie called me yesterday at lunch. It was a little chilly in So. Cal. yesterday so she decided to get out some jeans for my 2 year old nephew Sam. Well they were size 18 months and he is 25 months old. They are still be big in the waist & to long in the length. What a scrawny little kid. LOL.

I had the most RANDOM dream last night. Why is it that you take 4-5 things you have been thinking about most lately and put them all into one dream? I find it really funny. I never remember my dreams either, so i find it really odd that i remember this one.

It's totally raining here today, and rained alot of the day yesterday. And will continue to do so i believe most of the weekend. The higher elevations about 6500 height should get a dusting of snow. SNOW?! It's only Septemeber!! I'm ready for Fall...not Winter! I don't think we got above 55 degrees yesterday.

Me & Karter

Ok, last one i promise. Here is Karter & I. This was taken on our camping trip on July 8-9th. I am completly sunburned. You'd think i'd learn by now to use sunscreen.

Charlee

Lynn & Shauna gave us some pics of Charlee they had taken. Here is one of them. She is adorable.

Jeff, Barb & Karter

Jeff & Barb gave us these photos this weekend, so i scanned them in so, hopefully the quality is good. Karter is such a good kid. They totally lucked out. He is so happy and calm. He loves being the center of attention. He just laughs and smiles all the time. He got a little jealous that we were paying attention to Charlee this past Sunday and not him. Especially when Jeff or Barb were holding her. LOL.

Cave Falls

These were taken the week after our trip to Mesa Falls. Cave falls are actually in the lower south west corner of Yellowstone National Park. We didn't know that at the time. But there is literally only one road in & out of that part of the park to Cave Falls. It does a little circle in the parking lot & you head right back out the way you came in. The water was FREEZING Kevin was able to stay in it ALOT better than i was. We actually came better prepared for this trip than we did to Mesa Falls. We brought a lunch & extra water. Which was nice. I tried to fix the coloring & light exposure, but i don't know if i did a very good job of it. :) There really is a cave at Cave Falls. I should have grab one of those photos to put on here. I'll find one and get it up shortly.

Mesa Falls

Here are some pics from our trip to Mesa Falls. I bet it's been somewhere around a month ago that we went. It was beautiful. I had never been there before. The picture of me with my feet in the river was taken after we hiked down the side of a mountain. Like it was a dirt "trail" straight down. I was freaking out a little bit, but we made it safely down & up.

Coming soon...

Well, I intended on getting some pictures ready to post last night, but for some reason I was just too tired. Kevin was in a cleaning mood so I just let him do his thing, while I vegged. Though I did make dinner and clean up, so I did do something. LOL. Tonight i need to do laundry, so that should be fun.

I actually talked to my whole family last night. I think that is a first in MONTHS. Mom & dad made it home safe & sound. Alley (the cat) will not leave them alone now. I think she might have been a little lonely while they were gone. I couldn't remember what grades Carolyn's kids started in school this year. Alec is in 7th grade (HOLY COW!!!), Madison is in 2nd, and Derek is in 1st. Where has the time gone?! Carolyn is now home alone during the day. I'm not sure how much she is enjoying it, because now all of kids & her husband ask "what did you do all day?". LOL. Natalie was in the middle of making dinner, and Sam wanted her attention. He went to speech yesterday too, so hopefully that is helping on the talking issue. So, how did your home made pizza turn out Nat?

Long Weekend

I know it wasn't technically a "long weekend" just our regular two days, but it seemed long. Friday night Kevin & I treated my parents to dinner down in Idaho Falls. We went to a Japanese restaurant, the kind that cooks right in front of you. It's called Sato's. It was pretty pricey but it was really good food, and ALOT of it! (mom ate her leftovers for breakfast on Saturday.) After we got home from dinner Tina stopped by and we chatted for a few mins while she came to return some movies and borrow some new ones. Jared didn't come with her, he is pretty sick I guess. Thanks for not sharing Jared! After Tina left we played Canasta Caliente again. Well this time it was Mom & Dad against Kevin & I. Not good. lol. We creamed mom & dad. I don't know what the deal was, but we were just totally lucking out with the cards. We played one more hand after the first game was finished and we creamed them again so we didn't continue playing. Plus it was like 11:30pm and mom & dad had a LONG day of driving ahead of them.

Saturday we got up and helped mom & dad pack up the car and they left about 9am. We cleaned up the house, paid some bills and ran some errands. We left for Kevin's parents house -- around 3:30. Had dinner with them, Jeff, Barb & Karter. Played some games, chatted and went to bed. Sunday we went to the viewing of Shauna's father. Shauna is our sister in law, she is married to Kevin's brother Lynn. It was great to see them and meet little Charlee -- their daughter. She is so adorable and tiny! We put her & karter next to eachother and he just drowns her out! lol. Granted he is about 6 months older than her. Plus they look nothing alike! And I mean at all. LOL.

Then we drove home & got there at about 11pm. Both of us were asleep by 11:30pm. Which I think is a record for Kevin, he is a bit of a night owl.

All in all it was a good weekend. We can't wait for Lynn & Shauna to move to SLC. We are so excited to have them so much closer to us!!!

Bitter Betty

Yeah that's my new name after playing "Canasta Caliente" with Kevin & my parents last night. We played guys vs. girls. Since mom & dad had never played we figured it would be good to have one of us on each team. Well the guys kicked our butts! You play to 5000 points. The final score ended up being something like, 4690 to 6000! yeah not a pretty sight. I was NOT a good sport about loosing...i'll blame it on the cold & not feeling good. ;)

Back at the office

So, today is my first day back at the office after my week off. We had a great time in Yellowstone over Labor weekend. It was also great to see my Aunt Janet & Uncle Lloyd, who I haven't seen in about a year. Hopefully I'll post some pictures by this weekend, maybe early next week. We took a TON of pictures. We got a little sunburned & Kevin shared his cold with me and we might have given it to my mom, so hopefully she can fight it off.

Well I better get some work done, now that I've check my emails. Hopefully I can make it through these 2 work days and get back into the swing of things before I have to work a FULL week next week. :)

Oh, we will not be heading to SLC this weekend to see Lynn, Shauna & Charlee. Unfortunately Shauna's father passed away last weekend, VERY suddenly and completely out of the blue. So we will head out to Twin Falls to see them there as they prepare for the funeral & viewing. Our condolences go out to their family.
