I found this website that lists all the races that are happening in Idaho. You can look up your state too.

planter

We are building a planter in the backyard. It's right off the side of our back patio. We have a bit of a slope there and thought that would be a good idea. Well we were going to use railroad ties, but thought better of it and went with bricks instead. Well we decided if we want to get right on it Saturday morning we should buy them ahead of time. So we run to Lowe's Thursday night. We don't have a truck you see, just a little Honda Accord. So this was quite the adventure. After we got everything we needed loaded onto the flat bed cart, Kevin needed help pushing it to the cash register, it was SO heavy! So a helper bee from the garden center was super nice and helped Kevin. Well i watched in horror as Kevin starts loading it into the car. Of course all the while he keeps telling me it's going to fit. Well yeah it fit but will be bottom out and be complete low riders?! Well we were definitely low riders but we made it home, very slowly. A guy even pulled up next to us in his big truck offering to take them to our house for us, if we lived close by. Which we don't. But thanked him for the offer anyway. We still need to weigh the bricks to see how heavy they are. Enjoy the pictures.

* There were 30 of those bricks, 4 bags of rock, and plastic tubing. We had 2 bricks up by my feet, so i rode home with my feet on the dashboard.

Dr. called...

...the test came back negative.

But after talking with my sister Carolyn, who has gone thru this same thing, she has given me some hope. When she was trying for her second child, my niece Madison, her test came back negative too. She accepted it. Well, she felt like she was pregnant and waited another week and took a home test and it was postitive. It was just too early to check.

So i think that's what i am going to do. Wait another week and see. I feel like i have some symptoms of pregnancy, but who knows, my body could be playing tricks on me. So if i test in a week and it's still negative. Then there is our final answer.

knock & run

Last night we got home from a trip into Twin Falls. (more about that later) We just had eaten dinner and were sitting in the bean bag. it was close to 8-830pm and there as a LOUD knock at the door. Immediately my thoughts turn to the Elders, not again! So Kevin gets up and i prepare to turn off the TV. Kevin opens the door and no one is there, but i see him look towards the ground. There cutely arranged are these....

There was a VERY sweet note with them, which says: "Kevin & Jackie, Saw these, had to be yours, bought them. Because (even if its not tomorrow) someone in your family is waiting to wear them. Good luck. You are loved." Signed with a drawn heart. I do not recognize the writing.

THANK YOU SO MUCH SECRET FRIEND!!! I am going to bring them with me today to hopefully bring me good luck!!!

I'll post when i have news.

MUCH LOVE!!!

20...

...will I make twenty-one?!

I made a list yesterday out of curiosity. Wrote down all the names i could think of of my friends that are pregnant or have given birth just this year. I am also marking if they are having a girl or boy, just to see the ratio. I know there are more then that because in my sister Carolyn's extended family alone they are expecting like 8-9 babies! I have about 3-4 of them on my list. So far it's 10 girls to 7 boys. The others don't know yet or don't find out till the baby is born.

I had a friend comment yesterday that i am very calm with such impending news come Friday. I know Friday I'll be a complete wreck waiting for the news. But i feel like this is "our time". So i hope I'm right in feeling that way.

OLD picture

This is i think one the last picture of all us four Ostler kids. Carolyn is the oldest girl, then my brother Russell, then Natalie, then Me. Rusty died when i was about 2.5 yrs old (he was 9 when he passed). So i don't remember him, but i am grateful for pictures of him. I often wonder how different growing up would have been with him still around. I am SO thankful for the knowledge of Eternal Families. Thanks Natalie for the scanned imagine!!

* If you click on the picture to make it bigger you can slightly see where i bit Natalie on the cheek. hee hee.

Spring can it really be you?!

Last night was SUCH a lovely evening when we got home from work. It was SO beautiful and warm and no wind (which there is ALWAYS wind). So Kevin & I took advantage of it. Still full from a very yummy lunch (thanks again Sarah B.), we didn't eat dinner, we just changed our clothes and headed outside! I weeded part of the yard and prepared the other side to be weeded tonight. Being a completely dirt side yards & back yard (the front is landscaped) there is going to be ALOT of weeding to do till we get some grass (hopefully this summer). Kevin washed BOTH cars last night. I think that's the first time they were washed in about 6 months. Nasty is know! They were BEYOND dirty. THANKS LOVE!!! We ended up just snacking on some popcorn later on in the evening.

side note

So i love that we all are thinking two weeks to find out the news is going to kill us. It just might. But i think it's even more funny that i won't be due till DECEMBER if i get pregnant. Talk about a LONG time to know about a pregnancy. LOL. Maybe it will be twins i can have them in November. :)

LONG Saturday

***WARNING: too much info may be provided. ***
***You have been warned!***
:)

It was a REALLY long day yesterday. But a good day. So i guess they counter balance each other.

I was up mainly since around 5am cause i couldn't sleep. Got out of bed finally around 550am. Checked a few things on the web. I was going to re-shave my legs and paint my toes all pretty for the doctor, but i didn't. They could deal with 2 days worth of stubble, and they wouldn't even see my toes anyway cause i had socks on. :)

We left for Boise at 730am. The weather couldn't have been more perfect on our way out. It was a bit windy coming back. We got to the Drs. office a few minutes early. They called Kevin back to ah.... "do his thing" and then we waited anxiously to get called back.

Well we
waited and waited and waited and waited. I had to pee really bad so i went to ask the nurse if they were going to need any urine samples - she said no. So i quickly walked to the back to go potty. Then we waited and waited and waited and waited some more! I went thru two magazine's (very slowly) and then i started pacing in the waiting room, i just couldn't sit anymore, After watching couple after couple come and go. I finally asked if everything was alright and if we were going to get called back soon. Well i don't know if my pacing made them hurry up or what cause we finally got called back. They said it takes an HOUR to process the sperm. That would have been good to know at the beginning of our TWO HOUR waiting time!!!

The whole actual procedure took maybe 5-10 mins. The Doctor said everything looked PERFECT. There were more then enough "men" and my lining was perfect, my cervix was wide open which meant i was ovulating. So...now we wait till March 27th to do some blood work to see if it all worked!!!

When then made a quick lunch stop at Carls Jr. I don't know if it was cause i was starving or what but that was THE BEST BURGER i've had in a long while! We hopped on the freeway. Came home. Meet the missionaries for about 15-20 mins so they can give Kevin all their progress for the week so he can tell the bishop about it in meetings this morning. Then we headed out to Burley for some family time. Kevin's brother Lynn was coming over for a visit. We got home about 1130pm.

Now i REALLY wished i would have gotten a sub for nursery today so i could stay home and rest. Oh well. Hopefully the kids are good today.

change of plans

Well after a few (4) weirdly resulting ovulation tests Friday i called the Dr a "little" panicked. But they, being in better control of their emotions, reassured me all was fine and that i should come in Saturday instead of Sunday. So...we are off to Boise in ONE hour. Kevin & Jeff (our friend, not his brother) gave me a blessing last night. I of course cried thru the whole thing. But i feel good this morning.

Thank you for your prayers. Much love!

WISH US LUCK!!!

a little premature - but that's OK

I have the coolest sisters ever!
I put them both on a quest and they pulled thru for me!

So we'll be receiving in the mail...

I AM SO EXCITED!!!!

Natalie checked in NC and they were out. But Carolyn was able to find one in CA!! I will pay her back for it, of course. But i saw it last Saturday while shopping for a baby shower i was attending that day. Took pictures with my phone of it and showed Kevin. He loved it too. So i began the quest to find it. NO WHERE could i locate it. Not in Twin Falls. Not in Boise. Not in Pocatello. Not even on Amazon.com or Target.com. They were all sold out! There were 3 in Redlands. WOO HOO!

I know it's TOTALLY premature to be buying it. We don't even know if we'll get pregnant this month or not, but i really wanted it. And plus i have to have faith & hope that all is going to work out for us! :)

THANK YOU CAROLYN & NATALIE!!!!
I LOVE YOU!!!

2nd U/S

Well i just got done with my second u/s. It went better then I expected! I am SO excited. I can't wait to hear from the Doctor to see what the plan is. The egg on my right side is now up to a 17! AND...there is one of my left that is a 12! Where did that one come from?!

So now i sit here smiling ear to ear with great anticipation.

** UPDATE **
So the Doc called. I was a little off on the sizes. Right is 16 & left is only 9.5. I don't know how i heard 12. LOL. Wishful thinking i guess. They like them to be 18+. The right one should grow to that by Sunday. But for sure the right one will release. But the plan is Sunday 10am to do the IUI!!! So I'll do my trigger shot Saturday morning. YAY!!!

first u/s down...

...another one to go.

I went and had my U/S this morning. I haven't been as stressed about this cycle for some reason. But of course i am hoping and praying that it works this go around. I actually left the appt feeling optimistic this morning! Unlike the last round when i left crying each time. I still only have ONE follicle (egg) that is of any measurable size. But already it's almost as big as the last one was after ALL the meds we did in Jan/Feb. Last one only measured a 12 when we called it a wash, this one is already measuring a 10 (i think they like it around an 16-18)! I've already got my "plan of attack" from the Doctors office (they already called me). We'll do double shots Tonight thru Wednesday and then do another U/S on Thursday to see how its going. Wow, they just called to schedule my u/s appt for Thursday at 10am!

I think your prayers on our behalf are really truly being heard. I thank you from the bottom of my heart! At first i didn't want to let everyone know we were doing this because i did want there to be another miscarriage and have to give the bad/sad news. But i am SO glad that I've told everyone. I am so thankful for the encouragement, prayers, & fasting done on our behalf. I truly have the GREATEST friends & family. I love you all!

sledding

My sister Carolyn lives in So. Cal. They are very close to the mountains. My niece & nephew are 10 & 8. They barely went sledding for the FIRST TIME! I couldn't believe it! I think, Alec 14, has gone before. If i remember correctly Madison didn't like it as much as the boys since it was so cold. I told them they need to come to Idaho to go sledding. Magic Mtn. Ski Resort has an awesome sledding hill and they even have a pulley system to get you up the hill! No Hiking if you don't want to! Well here is a picture of Carolyn's three kids. They used boogie boards too as sleds. Love CA sledding. :) Love you guys!!!!

round 2 update

I officially started my clomid pills on Saturday.

I'll start my shots on Thursday.

Monday morning I'll go for my U/S to see how the little follicle's are doing.
* It was supposed to be Sunday, but they don't do them here on Sunday's
and i really don't feel like driving to Boise for a 5 minute appt. *
BEEN THERE! DONE THAT!
