lunch time update
So we aren't going to be able to stop by the house tonight, so we went at lunch time. I was totally thinking nothing had happened. Well i was WRONG! There is a guy there right now laying the flooring in the bathroom. Kevin could see it from the bathroom window...i couldn't too short. :( He said it looked good and he liked it. AND... they are delivering our cabinets RIGHT NOW! YAY!!!!
As promised

So here it is! Not quite finished. They still need to put the "shakes" as they call them up in the eve of the garage. It will be a slightly darker brown up there. They didn't get the flooring laid though they did get the board the flooring goes on laid into place. They still need to finish the front step, put in a sidewalk to the front door and landscape the front lawn.

House Update
I realize I haven't done one of these in a while. I don't have new pictures...I'll take one today. But they have the siding up, the big portion of the front porch is poured, the back patio is fixed, inside they have the walls all textured and painted. We drove by last night and they had delivered the kitchen flooring...so hopefully that will be done today. YAY! They are FINALLY moving along. We have a close date of August 21st! YAY!!!!
R2D2
YAY! We finally found it in a store!!

We love Mr. Potato Head. We have the Darth Tater and the Storm Trooper one as well. We have the "original" type one as well as a Halloween one...not sure if we bought that one or if someone gave it to us. As you'll recall from a pervious post...we also have a Mr. Potato Head cookie jar.

Mural
So my friend Ray sent me THIS website. Talks about the new Twin Falls Idaho LDS Temple. We are SO excited the open house has officially begun. Kevin & I and my parents will be going through on July 21st. YAY! But i just wanted to show you one of the murals that is in the Temple. It is painted by Leon Parson. He was/is an art Professor up at BYU-Idaho (Kevin & Ray both had him). He & his brother Del Parson are huge LDS artists. Leon was in our ward when we lived in Rexburg 2005-2007. He & his wife are super nice people! The mural is of Shoshone Falls here in Twin. They are beautiful! I can't wait to see this mural in person.

For Kevin's BIRTHDAY TODAY i am providing a treat for work. We got this recipe from a WONDERFUL woman named Lynda Condie. She was a friend of ours from CA but now she lives in Utah. We love you Lynda!!!

kitchen supplies
OK, I'll just start off saying...I LOVE KITCHEN ITEMS...appliances, pots and pans, all the cool things you can buy for your kitchen. So this recipe i'll be posting tonight of Kevin's B-day treat part of it needs to be made in a double boiler. I was hoping my mother-in-law had one i could borrow. When i called her she said "i use to have one, not anymore." Dang. Well, i guess i'll have to make my own. Here is what that looked like...
Two pots. It worked, but made a HUGE mess with the water.
So...we went and found a Double Boiler last night at Fred Meyer. It's only a 2qt pot, but it will work just like i need it to. So here it is....
I'll post the recipe and pictures tonight after i make. It needs to freeze.
I can't believe it's Kevin's Birthday tomorrow!
It just seemed like it was mine, but i guess that was back in April. Time is sure flying!
Oh! We will have new house pics tonight as well. We drove by last night (w/o the camera) and there was progress!!! So we'll show you tonight...maybe tomorrow. We'll see. :)
