Day after Christmas...

Kevin & I took the day after Christmas off. I made him take down all our Christmas decorations, tho we left the outside house lights up. I don't mind those. They aren't disturbing the order in my house. :)

Kevin's brother Jeff also had the day off so he and his family came over to play a little 'Just Dance 3'. Of course two of their three boys brought over new Christmas toys they got. Took them awhile to get to our house...Karson's car goes a bit slow and he is a BAD driver...swerving all over the place. I think Karter beat them to our house on his bike by 5-8 mins. Emmitt got a new rocket that he pushes around just like Karter did when he got the original red rocket. Makes me laugh.

Trying to get a shot of Karter's
missing and growing-in teeth.

Karter laughing because he 'left them behind'

Jeff waiting on Emmitt.
He's a bit of a bad driver too...
crossing to the wrong side of the street

And finally here comes Karson in his Buzz Lightyear car.

Emmitt taking the hard road.
cutting across the grass up hill,
instead of staying on the sidewalk.

Emmitt.

Karson s-l-o-w-l-y making his way.

He was SO super excited about his car.
So cute.
He'll be too tall for it soon. ;)

Jeff & Barb doing a little dance.

Kevin & Karter dancing.

Karson's rough ending at our house.

He hit his mouth on the windowsill.
was bleeding a bit...Barb cleaned him up
and he feel asleep within probably 5 mins.

Merry Christmas from the Brown's

Merry Christmas!!

As is tradition we didn't get cards out but had all intentions of doing so. As i say every year....we are for sure doing it next year!! I love getting cards in the mail at Christmas, please continue to send them!

Kevin & I had a fun year this year. We had visitors from the South (My parents, Sister & Nephews) come for a visit in June and then we went to CA in August. Kevin & I ran in two Dirty Dash fun/mud runs this summer. Have already signed up for two more in 2012! We got new snowshoes two weeks ago and had a fun day trying them out. Can't wait for more snow to come so we can really go at it.

Our church callings keep us busy. I am still the Young Womens president (1.5 yrs) and Kevin is still the ward mission leader (3yrs). I work with some of the greatest ladies in our ward and have amazing girls. Kevin really enjoys his calling working with the missionaries and new converts to the church, as well as searching out those that are in need of the Gospel.

At this time of year our thoughts turn to the Birth of our Savior. We are so thankful that Heavenly Father would send his son down for us, to provide a way for us to return to our Heavenly home. What marvelous time to reflect on our blessings he has provided. We are so thankful for our family, friends, jobs, house and health. We have been truly blessed to be surrounded by some great people.

May you have a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year!
Here is to a wonder-blessed-joyous-healthy 2012!

Flowers from CA

On a cold winter morning of 18 degrees.
All of our pretty flowers and plants dead/dormant for the winter.
Everything turning brown and gross.
With no snow to cover the ground.

I like to look at pictures of flowers from my parents yard.

It's so beautiful and colorful!

BSU Double Header

My dear friend (and old co-worker from BYU-I) invited Kevin & I to join her and her husband for a BSU football game (they have season tickets). It was the last home game & Senior day for the football team. Also Kellen Moore's last home game -- hopefully we'll see him playing in the NFL next year.

Anywhos...We had a great time at the COLD game. It was a blow out 45-0 vs New Mexico. But it was exciting to see how crazy the city of Boise gets for BSU football games. Plus after the game if you went over to Taco Bell Arena and showed them your foot ball tickets you got into the BSU Men's basketball game. Kevin was SO excited about that.

What a FUN day we had! Thanks Godfrey's!!!!

meeting Santa...

Tonight we took our nephews to the ward Christmas party (since we live in the same ward now), while their parents attended one of their two work parties that were all scheduled on the same night. I was to say the least worn-out by the end of the night. Tho i had gotten up early this morning and had been non-stop running around all day.

I got some photos of the boys meeting Santa.

Karter & Santa
* asking for a dog which he will name Batman

Karson & Santa
*asked for a new buzz lightyear and buzz lightyear car

Emmitt & Santa
*he is giving Santa 'five' thru his tears

It's funny because he was SO excited to meet Santa
BUT...apparently not sit on his lap!

The black on Karter & Karson's nose are from their
parts in the Christmas program (Sheep & Donkey).
