no good news...

Went in this morning. If i remember correctly the measurement is smaller then it was on Sunday. I don't know how that's possible. But who knows. Each time i go in for an u/s its done by a different person. So maybe they aren't measuring it the same way. I don't know. I am willing to drive into Boise to have another u/s to have the doc do it herself and so we can chat. So now it's the waiting game to see what the doc says about this mornings u/s.

Thank you for the well wishes and prayers. We truly appreciate it.

more, more & more...

... medicine! This is the longest cycle known to man, I think! Well we are pushing more meds and i have another ultrasound scheduled for tomorrow (Friday) morning to see what is happening. I almost wanted to pull the plug on this cycle, but we've already invested so much time & money into it, might as well see it thru.  Here's hoping for good results tomorrow.

...till further notice...

Well, the Doc just called. Our trip to Boise is postponed till further notice. I am to go do some blood work in Twin tomorrow (Tuesday) and then they will let me know the plan from there. We are kind of relieved since the roads are HORRIBLE right now, so by tomorrow morning they would have not been any better... probably worse actually. So we'll see what tomorrow brings.

Year of the Ox

I love looking at Horoscopes.

Doesn't mean i believe them.

But find them interesting.

HERE are the 2009 Chinese Horoscopes.

Check it out!

turn around

Well...we went to Boise on Sunday. It was quite the white knuckle drive. It was pretty icy and the snow was drifting across the highway. We made it tho...a little late. But we spent MAYBE 10 mins with the Dr. (not my doc, but the other one-didn't like him as much) and he told us to come back on Tuesday. That should be the day we can do the IUI. Still only ONE follicle that is big enough. Stupid ovaries!!! I am NOT counting on this round happening for us.

But we got to see our friends, Tyler & Jenny, and it was lovely! So we have plans to meet them tomorrow for lunch when we head back. Tomorrow's drive should be worse. It's snowing like mad here today and its not supposed to get above freezing in the next few days. We'll be leaving at the crack of dawn and taking our time on the drive. THANKFULLY my parents bought us chains...so we should be OK if we need to get them out.

weekend trip

Well not really, but we are heading to Boise on Sunday. I have a Drs. appt. at 11-am on Sunday. Who know the Drs. office was even OPEN on Sunday. But i have to do a 3rd ultrasound to see how my little follicles are doing. Thursday view of them was slightly disappointing. I am a bit frustrated. But i am hopeful that Sunday will bring better news. Here's to hoping for good roads for our trek to the BIG city. GIANT really compared to where we are.  :)

not entertaining

So i mentioned to my friend yesterday that i haven't been as good as i have been in the past about updating my blog. She mentioned that she hasn't started one yet cause it seems like alot of work. I said they do feel that way sometimes. Especially for me because i don't feel like i am that "entertaining". I don't have kids to post about or anything truly exciting anymore now that the house is done being built. Maybe I'll have posts in the spring with our yard updates...but that's about it. Hoping to have pregnancy news, but that is always a touchy subject. Many if not all of you know about my fertility problems. We are currently working with a Doc in Boise to help us start our family. I said after our miscarriage almost 5yrs ago that i would NEVER EVER tell anyone we were expecting till i couldn't hide it anymore or i was too sick to hide it. Well we are NOT pregnant yet, but hopefully soon. Many know already that i'm taking meds & what not, so i'll keep you posted. I know many friends have suffered miscarriages and trials with getting pregnant in the past so if i do announce we are expecting (which we are NOT yet) and then have to announce we are no longer expecting (which i HOPE doesn't happen again!!!). Please understand my lack of posting.

Gosh, i don't know why i wrote all that. Maybe because i'm a little stressed and hormonal with all the meds i'm taking. LOL.

** UPDATED 2:45pm**
Thanks everyone for the well wishes and saying that we are "entertaining" enough. I didn't mean to write it like i needed a "boost of confidence" or something. But thanks anyway! I think i needed to vent (or whatever) a little i guess.

help needed

OK. So i don't know ALL there is to know about blogging...obviously. :) But i was curious as to how people set up their "blog lists" to show when people have posted a new post on their blog. Often i click randomly on people's blogs to see if there have been updates. But I'd like to see to not have to do that. Make sense?

THANKS for your help!!

good weekend

I had a great weekend actually! Kevin came home on Friday. YAY!!! I went to the movies with my friends to see "Bride Wars". Loved it! Kevin & I ran into Twin before i went to the movies and got him his new iPod he has been saving for. He is SO good at saving his bday/Christmas $. I on the other hand...am not. :) We also had a little left over Christmas money and such so we purchased a little something....
We've been having so much fun!! We had our friends Tiff & Donny over on Saturday for dinner & games. We ended up playing a little. I think they liked it. They were both so tired that i don't know if they fully enjoyed the game after our great dinner & conversation. :) We'll have to plan a little better next time.

Sunday we went to Kevin's cousin's Mission Homecoming...which happens to be Tiff & Donny's new ward. So that was fun to see them two days in a row. Ryan did a great job. Talked a little less i think then is normal for a mission report. But it was great nonetheless. OH, and Ryan just got home on the 20th of Dec...and he already has a "girlfriend". I was shocked! But Kevin said he has always been a "ladies man". LOL.

cool website

So Kevin is on his way home from a business trip in PA today. YAY!!! They are flying home as we speak. Well they left PA and got to Chicago...where it was/is snowing ALOT...per Kevin's text. He said they even had to de-ice the plane. Which makes me nervous. But I'm sure the people at O'Hare airport are pros at that. Well my friend Sarah told me about a cool website were you can track the flight. You type in the airlines & flight # and it will show you on a map where it is and if they are on-time or delayed. So cool! So now i am watching Kevin fly across the US.

a few pics

OK here are just a couple pictures from our CA trip and what we arrived home to.

We had to shovel before we could pull into the garage. So we parked in the street. Shoveled and then pulled the car into the garage. Thankfully we had Kevin's brother Jeff shovel a day or two while we were gone or it would have been WAY bad! THANKS JEFF!!!!

Kevin using the packaging from a present as a "boa".  Nice Love!

Here are "my girls". When Kevin & I first got married i was put in as their primary teacher. They were approx. 5-6 years old! I taught them for almost 4 yrs. They were darling little kids and now look at them! They are Beautiful Young Women!!
Becca, Me, Kaitlyn & Tori.
Apparently Tori & I are looking at a different camera. LOL.

Lastly the Ostler Family.
With Natalie surprising us for a visit we had hoped that we'd get a family photo taken. Since it's been YEARS since our last good one. Well the lady we wanted to have it done by had to work. So we improvised. Kevin & I took the pics and then when it was time for the group shot we set it on a timer and Kevin would run into the picture. Needs a little touching up for lighting I tried a "quick fix" it helped some.

Kevin & I had a GREAT time going to CA for Christmas. It was the first time home in 3yrs! Way too long! We went to the Beach, the museum for a show of William Wente's paintings, Kevin was SO excited to see it! We bought the book. There were some beautiful paintings. We had In-n-Out. Which was DIVINE!!! It will be SO worth the drive to St. George just for some more! What's 10hrs for a hamburger right?! We went to our old ward in Alhambra. Which was SO AWESOME! That truly felt like going home! How we miss that ward and all our friends there! There were alot of new faces but many many familiar and wonderful faces! We got to chat with alot of our friends. Thanks Lange's & Simpers for a wonderful dinner & conversation!! We just spent alot of time with family and it was great!!
