Applesauce Making

This years applesauce making adventure. We love homemade applesauce. It's just ALOT of work. But worth it in the end...right?! Kevin & I ended up with 8 qts and 48 pints of applesauce and 6 pints of apple rings. No pic of the final products.

Apples and Redhots

Some of the apples we used.
LOTS not photographed.

Our outdoor kitchen.
Look at our BEAUTIFUL lawn!

The strainer.
Thanks Linda for letting us borrow it.

Close up of some of the apple pulp after going thru the strainer.

Kevin stirring in some of the Redhots into one batch.

Redhots needing stirred in.

We had two jars break on us this time.
The bottoms both popped off.

Our Breakfast the next day...
for all our hard work the previous day.

Looks good! Especially your breakfast! Holy cow you use a lot of red hots! I'll have to try that next year! My mom always used Fire balls.
