Christmas Wishlist

I usually don't make any sort of Christmas list. But when we were at Costco last night (thanks company card) i found what I've been hoping existed! Something similar to this would be LOVELY.

So...we would need 3 of them. SO if anyone just loves me and has about $175 to spend on me (us). feel free to pass the $$ along. I like it cause it will do a 'Dusk to Dawn' program. So while you are on vacation or getting home late at night...the lights will be on outside from Dusk to dawn and not on ALL day while you are gone on vacation or what have you.

Also....one of these....
Roaster oven.
Would love one!

Or...if some one wants to build us one of these.....
(A fence)

Or.....
(A Shed - we have a mower)

Or....
or lastly....

Just so you know what I'm putting on my Christmas list.

A Decade

While in California in July, Kevin & I celebrated our 10th Wedding Anniversary. I can't believe it's been a decade already. When i think about all that has happened i can kind of believe it's been that long. But it's gone by so quickly!

On our Anniversary we went with my parents down to Laguna Beach to check out the Sawdust Arts & Crafts Festival. It was a good day. We saw some cool things, interesting things, some not so interesting things and bizarre/gross things. We then walked the half mile to the beach and played for an hour or two. I do NOT like Laguna Beach. You find all sorts of rocks and random holes. No Sir. I do not like it.

Once we were done playing in the seaweed/rock filled waters we wanted to go celebrate our Anniversary with some yummy food that we do not have here in Idaho.

So, Kevin using moms trusty Garmin. We found a Benihana's.

D'Lish!!!

Of course they sang a special song for our Anniversary and took our picture.

Happy 10th Anniversary my Love!
You are the best!
I love you so much!
I can't imagine my life without you in it!

The Last Tree

So growing up we had three trees in our front year.

I loved these trees.

They gave great shade.

The leaves changed colors in the Fall.

Here are some pics of Natalie & I - i believe Fall 96 - shaking the leaves out of the trees.
My dad was mowing the lawn and we thought it would be funny to shake the leaves onto his nicely cut lawn.

While Kevin & I were home in Redlands this past July my parents had the last of the three trees cut down. It was dying.

So while the tree crew came to actually work on our neighbors tree, we had them cut our tree. I took pics of the process. I think the workers thought i was crazy.

Looks so weird.

morning produce

I went to check on the garden this morning to see if i should have watered it last night (but didn't). And i saw this most beautiful flower...

so i ran in to grab my camera.
I also found another zucchini that needed picking.
oh joy.
Took this pic of another flower with one of our pumpkins...
Then i decided to check out our apples on our trees and noticed this little guy...
He is growing straight up like that.
So we'll see how long he lasts before his stem breaks.

Then we have our one and only raspberry of the year...
I guess we are truly...Farmer Brown's.

our lush garden (& yard)...

... no we do not have any Russian nesting dolls. LOL.

Just thought i would post some pics of our yard and garden (as of 8/8/10). The yard is looking SO great. we are so happy. Tho we are still fighting weeds that are growing along with the grass seed. Hopefully we'll get it under-control and they will be less and less as the process goes on.

Kevin's grass hands from having to clean under the mower.
I think we need to get a new blade.

Our lush garden.

1 of 2 apple trees.
see the little apple pulling down it's branch?

Tomatillo.
We planted two plants. They are doing great!

Biggest pumpkin.
about the size of a basketball.

this one is about the size of a football.

and this guy is about the size of a lemon.

pictures while driving

So I'm all about safety.

As i was coming home from Dyan & Trent's wedding. I was sitting in one lane stopped bumper to bumper traffic between Blackfoot & Pocatello ID. You have tons of time to look at the scenery (since there is NOTHING out there). I decided i needed some pics. So while it looks like I'm driving. I'm really not going fast. Also, i never took my eyes off the road ahead of me. I seriously just turned on the camera rolled down the window and held my arm straight and shot...and hoped for the best.

Here are some favorites.
