Rag quilt scissors

I just found these. they are AMAZING!! if you do anything like rag quilting or something that needs little small 'snippings'. you must invest in them!

new hardware

so our dead-blot broke on our front door Tuesday night. so Kevin went and got us new hardware for the front door. I love it! tho...it was a lot harder to put in we were hoping. Esepcially since we didn't get started on it till 930pm last night. We finished about 1230am. Sorry neighborhood for all the barking dogs as we worked on our door. It looks lovely.

Looks like the dead-blot actually needs straightened, but I'm not going to say anything just yet to Kevin. He was pretty frustrated last night.

*Note to self...get Kevin a Kick-Ass drill for Christmas.

I completed my first 10K!

For not being a runner and not liking to run long distances i was very impressed that i jogged probably 4 of the 6.2 miles. I know that's not alot to you runners...but that's HUGE for me!

For Personal Progress in the Young Womens program of the church, one of the 'projects' is to read the Book of Mormon. The previous President had given all the girls bookmarks with the 90-Day reading schedule. So i made my own, so i can give copies to those in my new presidency that wanted it. Well, as i have been thinking about it i wanted another visual way of seeing where i was in my reading.

So then i thought...
what about a count down like they have for missionaries & their missions?!

So i created one for myself...

I am way excited about it.

My parents wedding picture was looking a little sad from the years. So Kevin took it home, scanned it and fixed it up for my parents. It looks so good! Way to go Love!

too much TV

So we were talking with our friends this weekend. And we happened to talk about TV watching and i said "i would love to get rid of TV watching all together...other then for Biggest Loser and the Thursday night 'must see TV'."

I'm not sure how the whole conversation went...but pretty much it boiled down too...Kevin would survive without TV just fine...but he said "he'd worry about me!"

WHAT?!?!?!!

So apparently he thinks i watch too much TV in the evenings.

So going forward...i'm going to really see how much i actually do watch and cut alot of the 'vegging for absolutely no reason, nothing on at all but i'm still watching' TV time.

We don't even have cable, dish, a DVR, nothing! We have rabbit ears for goodness sake!

Lets see how it goes!

We had a GREAT time in Rigby this weekend. We are So proud of Kamren and his choice to be baptized. Can't believe Eric & Rochelle have TWO baptized now...man they are old! hee hee. :)

We stayed the weekend with them and had GREAT fun. Played all sorts of games, laughed and talked for hours. Oh how we miss them! Kevin & I would move back to Eastern Idaho in a heart beat.

I convinced Rochelle to come to Porters with me because i had a coupon i wanted to use. Well, everything that i wanted was something that the coupon 'excluded'. seriously that coupon was NO USE what-so-ever! And even better she ended up spending more $$$ then i did! You are welcome Rochelle.

Between my sister Natalie's new passion of sewing and Rochelle's i have decided to get my machine out and give it more practice! Plus i was showing my friend Jana all my sewing material i still have from when we lived in CA...almost 5 yrs ago! I think it's time it was made into something!

So hopefully you'll see some projects displayed up here soon.

Christmas Wishlist

I usually don't make any sort of Christmas list. But when we were at Costco last night (thanks company card) i found what I've been hoping existed! Something similar to this would be LOVELY.



So...we would need 3 of them. SO if anyone just loves me and has about $175 to spend on me (us). feel free to pass the $$ along. I like it cause it will do a 'Dusk to Dawn' program. So while you are on vacation or getting home late at night...the lights will be on outside from Dusk to dawn and not on ALL day while you are gone on vacation or what have you.
