SLC Utah Temple

The whole reason my parents were in Utah was for their Anniversary. They were married in the SLC Temple on April 19, 1968. Yup, it's was their 40th Wedding Anniversary. So the only time my mom had been in the SLC temple was the day they got married. So they decided to go back on their Anniversary. I invited Kevin & myself down to join them. I had never been inside the SLC temple and so it was a golden opportunity. It was great and such a BEAUTIFUL building! I wanted to walk much slower around and take in all the beauty. We will definitely be going back there!

Well i took some pictures of the Temple and the grounds. Enjoy!

Clark Planetarium

Sunday morning after breakfast at Denny's we went to the Clark Planetarium in SLC. It's free to the public unless you want to watch an Imax show. We didn't take the time to watch a show but it was fun to look at all the cool stuff. They had a set up where it looked like you are doing the weather on TV. That was pretty fun to mess around doing. There were also two scene's. One was Mars and one was the Moon. I got pictures of Kevin & Mom on Mars and then I was on the Moon. Dad wasn't really in the mood do do that.

Mom was fanning herself cause it was HOT on Mars. :)

Kevin showing some leg to hitch a ride home.

That is me "floating" on the moon. Nice huh?

After the Planetarium we went back to mom & dad's hotel and we said good bye. They had to start heading back home. It was sad, but i know i'll see them again this summer. They are trying to plan to come up for the Twin Falls Temple Open House. YEAH!!

Saturday Dinner

We had dinner with our friends Chris & Sarah with their kids...Max, Sam & Lily. It was SO much fun to see them again!! We always call them when we are in town. They met us at Chili's and Kevin's brother Lynn, his wife Shauna and their daughter Charlee met us there as well. So there were 8 adults & 4 kids. I didn't think about even trying to get a reservation! So we were told it would be an hour & a half wait! We thought about leaving, but by the time we left and got somewhere else, it would have probably been time for us to get our table. So we waited. It ended up only being about an hour. Poor Max & Sam, they thought they were going to starve. They were so adorable! Us girls and Sam walked over to Desert Bookstore and looked around for a little while till we decided it was probably best to go back. We had a great time catching up and chatting. Man how i miss them!!! I am glad they moved to UT soon after we moved to ID. I don't know what we would have done if they were still in CA. Love you guys!! Can't wait to see you again soon!!

Kennicott Copper Mine

After the temple and after lunch, we made our way out to Kennicott Copper Mine. Man was it WINDY out there! But it was pretty cool to see! There is a viewing area where you can see down into the HUGE hole. There was a museum that had some really interesting stuff in it and a 10-15 minute video to watch. There was a little gift shop too. I've never seen so much copper jewelry before. That was interesting to see what it took to get the copper out of all that rock! The picture's aren't that great, it wasn't very clear, but you can get the idea.

The mine.
One of the trucks that haul the rock out. Looks so tiny huh?

Here are Kevin & I standing in front of one of those "tiny" trucks tires!

Here is a plaque that had information about the tire.

Friday in Utah

So Friday we left work about 1pm and met up with my parents at about 4:30pm out on the Great Salt Lake. Well, we met them at this place called...Saltair. Apparently back "in the day" it was the happening place to go in Salt Lake. There was a HUGE dance hall and roller coaster built on stilts on the Great Salt Lake. Well that is gone and they built this other much smaller building in it's place. But they had a gift shop and it had a model & pictures from the original building. It was Amazing! I wish i could have seen it then. Now at the new building they have concerts and such. Who knew there was such a place called Saltair?

Well we didn't get our camera out of the car, but we decided to walk out to the waters edge of the Great Salt Lake. It smelled pretty bad because there were HUNDREDS of dead birds everywhere. You had to watch your step. Nasty. We made it to the waters edge and i stuck my finger in the Lake. Then we walked back and i washed my hands. I have no idea what killed the birds, so i wanted to wash off the water. :)

So these pictures were taking with my camera phone.

Going to Utah!

YEAH! We are going to Utah tomorrow! My parents are coming up from So. Cal...well they are actually already there. We are heading out tomorrow afternoon to meet them down for the weekend. I am really excited. We haven't seen my parents since Sept 2007. Hopefully I'll have some pictures for you when we return.

house week 2

Well we decided that every Monday we'd drive over to the Lot and see what they had done for the week and take a picture. Doesn't look like much, other then they put a SOLD sign on our Lot. YEAH! I was excited to see that. I told Kevin it looked like they cleaned some of the weeds and trash out too. He didn't think so. It might have been wishful thinking on my part. But nice to see something new this week. So i know you will look forward to my weekly house updates.

BEAUTIFUL saturday

Yesterday's weather was just SO beautiful! You didn't need a jacket by noon. I opened all the windows in the apartment and let the sun, warmth & fresh air in. I LOVE IT!!! We were somewhere around the 55-60 degree mark with very little breezy.

One of our first errands of the day was getting our BIKES out of storage. YEAH!!! Man were they dusty! I am VERY much looking forward to doing some evening & weekend bike rides! I really took CA weather for granted. You can ride your bikes like 10-12 months out of the year. If we are lucky we will get about 5-6 months! Though i have seen people riding their bikes here in the snow...they are stupid. LOL.

We also went to JoAnn's Fabric store to get some more foam for our bean bag. We have two "Lovesac" type bean bags that Kevin's mom made for us. Well one gets more use then the other and was getting really flat. So i found a JoAnn's 40% off coupon that hadn't expired and we bought some more. So while i cut that up into chunks Kevin cleaned/dusted the bikes off. They are now ready for use! YEAH!!!

Also we both went for a hair cut. Kevin's been needing one for awhile now. I needed mine trimmed. So i said about 3-3.5 inches would do it. Well i think it might be a bit more then that. It's shorter then i thought, but it feels great and it will grow back. :) I'll get a picture of it when i am ready for church. IF it's a good hair day. ;)

Well breakfast is ready...THANKS Kevin! Yum Yum!

UPDATE: Here is my hair cut. Naturally curly is a blessing and a curse some times. :)

isn't it April SHOWERS...

...bring May flowers?

I didn't think it was supposed to be April SNOW showers! Yeah we got SNOW this morning. Not just the dusting that was in Twin Falls. The closer we got to Jerome, the more snow there was! By the time it stopped at 11-ish, there was probably somewhere around 3-4 inches of snow! Now at 1-ish it's starting to melt, but there is a WIND that is blowing the snow that is still there everywhere! I know its Spring so bring on the RAIN not the SNOW!! Though neither of those are good when you are trying to build a house!

House stuff

So it seems like we have been doing house stuff every other day this week. Which is probably about right. Well Friday we signed off on the housing build list. So hopefully early next week they will get the building permit and we will see some earth moving! :) So i took some pictures so here we go....

Kevin & I standing in our lot where our house will be. SO exciting!!! We have found marks in the road to set our camera on every time so we can see the house being built from the ground up (hopefully)!

We picked out our cabinets & counter tops earlier in the week and we chose the same counter as we had in our townhome but darker cabinets. Only a small handful of people have seen it. We LOVE it. So here is a pic (doesn't do it justice) from our townhome of the counter top.

Here is our fridge from our town home. We will be buying the same one if it's still available. We LOVED it too!! Kevin was very sad to leave it.

Here is what we chose for our shower/tub fixtures.
All lighting & fixtures will be in the "Oil rubbed bronze" look.
Here is our Kitchen faucet. It pulls out to have a hose. I love it.

Last but not least is the bathroom sink fixtures.

*I might try to go to the flooring place so i can get a picture of the flooring we picked out. We forgot our camera the day we went and picked it out.

We think it's going to look really nice! :) We are SO excited!!

selection time

Thanks everyone for the "congratulations". We are really excited. It will be nice to have our "own" place again. Yes and this time better last more then 5 months! :)

We are going this morning to select our cabinets, flooring, counter tops and such. We pretty much know what we want, since we just did this not even a year ago for our town home. I think we will keep it pretty simple. But simple is good, right?

This afternoon i believe we will be picking out the siding for the house. YEAH! We actually get to choose that too (we didn't get to in Rexburg)!! So many decisions. We haven't seen the selections just yet, but i'm sure we will be happy with what we choose.

we are ACCEPTED!!

Looks like our offer has been ACCEPTED!!! We will be home owners again late this summer! WOO HOO! It still needs to be built. We picked out our lot, which we are excited about. We will go pick out our colors for the inside probably Monday or Tuesday next week! Here is an "artist rendering" of our cute little house (no Kevin didn't do it).

I wanted to thank Jeff & Jenn and Ray & Emily for a very FUN evening last night!! We'll have to do it more often.

I sprained my ankle this week at work. I felt SO stupid. It was a freak little accident. It happened on Wednesday. I went to the Doc on Friday and he put me on crutches for about 4-5 days or until i can walk on it with minimal pain. Joy of Joys!

We are heading to Rigby for the day. We are excited! Our friend's son is getting baptized. It will be GREAT to see them again! We are heading out early so we can see two of their boys wrestle this morning. This should be good!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND!!!!

another update

I've been meaning to write posts the last week and never get around to it. It's strange how I've slowed down on the writing and viewing of blogs to just 2-3 days a week when it used to be like 2-3 times a day! So no fear, i still check, it's just not as often. Keep posting everyone!

Things are good here. I'm the work out queen. I've been going to the gym VERY faithfully for the last few weeks. It's GREAT! I feel like i might actually do it this time! Though i need to get some good workout music. Any suggestions?? I need about an hours worth or more so i can mix it up.

We FINALLY did our taxes last Saturday...we are NOT paying this year! WOO HOO!!!! We aren't getting much back either, but i don't care. As long as we aren't paying! We've paid the last 2-3 years!

We went Frisbee Golfing on Saturday. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! Quite the little exercise too. We ended up going 20 holes. LOL. We would totally go again! I think that was the best I've ever thrown a Frisbee! LOL.

We are meeting with a mortgage company today at lunch to get our "pre-qualify" letter. Hopefully all will go smoothly. YEAH!!! Then we will meet with our Realtor to put an offer on a house. YEAH!!!! I am SO excited!!

That's gotta be it for now. I really need to get ready for work.

Right on the front page is the EXCITING news of the Twin Falls LDS Temple Open House/Dedication. I am SO excited!!! So if anyone wants to come you have a place to stay with us!!! :)

The open house to the public is July 11-Aug 16. July 8-10 is for neighbors of the Temple and community leaders and such.

CONGRATS Dyan!!!

Just a shout out for my darling darling friend Dyan. She just opened her mission call this evening to Neuquen, Argentina. Literally i was one of the first persons she called. I feel so special! :) I SO guessed wrong. I said like Europe (England, Sweden, etc..) and Kevin guessed the SLC Temple Square Mission. We were WAY off! I'm so excited for her!! She will be a FANTASTIC Missionary.

Much love Dyan!!!!

I was up at 5:30 this morning. Got dressed. Went straight over to the gym. Worked out for ONE WHOLE HOUR! woo hoo!

GO JACKIE GO JACKIE GO JACKIE

Better make this a daily occurrence. My old Doc wanted me to work out 5-6 days a week! Lets see if i can do it.

i had a dream...

...well actually it was more like a nightmare. I dreamed (don't know another word that sounds better.) that it snowed over a foot last night. I looked out side first thing this morning...and it's raining. I LOVE THE RAIN! I hope its just another sign of Spring on its way. When we were coming home from work yesterday at 6pm, it was 55 degrees! WOO HOO!!!!!!

Red-Neck High Rise

Or as i call it...white trash at its finest and most creative. :)

holy cow!

So people are mentioning "Jon & Kate plus 8". I have not seen the show before (we have no cable-just whatever we get with our rabbit ears). So i looked it up on line and viewed a few clips. HOLY COW!! What craziness!!! But they seem like the best parents!

I have always thought I'd have triplets. Kevin freaks out at the mention of it. But he said the other day "if we had triplets you know we'd be done, right?!" I replied "oh yes for sure." LOL.

I guess you just appreciate what you can get. If it's one great. If it's six great. We'd just try to be the best parents possible.

weekend update

Well our appt went good. We met with the Dr. Talked about all that we've done in the past. What we are currently doing, and what we are looking to do. The Dr took us in a room and did an ultrasound. Confirmed (again) that i do have PCOS. We did some blood work and then sent on our way. She said to call when we are ready to start the meds/shots. I have a personal goal of loosing 15-20 lbs before we start the meds. So wish me luck. I'm going to need it. LOL.

We did have Panda for lunch. YUMMY! Then we went to Barnes & Noble, which was HUGE and found Kevin a great art book. Our B&N's art section sucks. LOL. We then found our way to the Boise Temple. Very small, but still beautiful and wonderful. I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE TWIN FALLS TEMPLE!!! It will be nice to go more often and SO close to home! We then met up with Kevin's friend Chad. Had dinner with him, Olive Garden. Again...yummy! Then we were on our way home. Long but good day.

Saturday we looked at more houses and found a GREAT neighborhood we REALLY like. So we are just waiting to hear back from "our Realtor" to see when we can go look at them. I think our hunt is coming to an end. YEAH!!!

THANKS Emily for stopping by yesterday it was so nice to see you and the kids and catch up a bit. I can't wait to get together more often.

Thank you everyone for your comments lately. I love knowing people do read my blog.

more updates

Well i seem to be on a roll of making just "update" posts. So here i go.

Friday the 29th was my last day at the Hospital. I was sad to leave some of the people i worked with, but not the actual job. I have noticed some improvements in my health and attitude with in the last few days of being away from the hospital. Which is a good thing. I kept it pretty quiet that i was leaving. I didn't want to make a big deal about it. People were still just finding out i was leaving the day before and the day of my departure.

March 3rd I started working with Kevin out in Jerome. It's been great! The drive in on my first day we were like "ok this is weird". But we have had no problems seeing A WHOLE LOT MORE of each other this week. LOL. Our work like i said before doesn't make us mingle. But it's such a small place that you can hear each other all the time.

Oh, i guess I'll tell you what i do. It's purely Data entry. I update addresses and circulation type things. I'll help answer phones when needed and I'll help with billing when it's time for that as well. I really like! :)

Today we are taking the day off of work. I have my Doctors appt with a Fertility specialist out in Boise. Not sure what they are going to do or say today, so we'll see how it goes. It's about a 2 hr drive. We are going to go to the Temple as well. I have never been to the Boise Temple, so i am pretty excited. We might try to see some friends out there, I'm not sure.

That's really all that is happening with us. Still house hunting. Haven't committed to anything yet. Which sometimes is frustrating and sometimes OK. LOL.

wii weekend

Friday Feb 29th was Kevin's Dad Doug's retirement party. We headed out there around 3pm to go to his city party. He worked for the City of Heyburn for 34 years! For Doug's retirement we all pitched in to get Doug a Wii, Linda did the most "pitching in". He has been wanting one, and Linda didn't want to spend the $$. Well she decided to do it for his retirement gift. He was so excited! So that Friday we played, laughed and had a great time. Kevin & I played till about midnight and then he went played by himself until after 1am! The rest of us had went to bed. Here are some pictures of our weekend of Wii!

Kevin & Jeff truly getting into the boxing.

Victory was Kevin's that match
Then it was boxing for me & Barbara (Jeff's wife)

Then it was time for Kevin & Doug to play some baseball

Linda & I on Saturday playing a game were you ride cows and try to run over as many scarecrows as you can. It's so much fun! We played multiple times. As you can tell i didn't do my hair. Lovely.
Linda in her nice bowling stance.

Man, that weekend of playing the Wii made us SO SORE! But it was SO much fun. Makes us want one all the more! But the Wii will have to wait. makes you notice how out of shape you are!

random things

5 DAYS and counting till my jobs change. I am SO excited to start the new job that i think this week might be a LONG one!

Here is the Valentine Card that Kevin made for me. I LOVE IT!! He also wrote some very lovely things on the inside too.

We got Kevin two more new ties. You'd think that he wears then everyday (which he doesn't). But we had to replace some ties he has had for like 15 years! LOL. We got his last two on clearance at JC Penny. They are great ties! We spent $9.00 and on the receipt it said..."You've saved $42.85". AWESOME!!

Saturday night we went for a drive to get out of the apartment. We decided to drive up to Magic Mountain where we camped once like 5-6 years ago. The roads were fantastic. We were chatting and i joked that we would run into a bear. Kevin said "no there are no bears in these mountains, but there are cougars (mountain lions), but I've never seen on before." Literally like 5 mins later there was a HUGE cougar walking up the other side of the road! We were shocked! It was totally awesome to see. Made me all the more nervous now to go camping up there. Mr Cougar was hunting for some dinner...it was about 7pm.

We meet with ANOTHER Realtor this past Saturday. Talked about the neighborhood, houses, taxes, etc. I am very excited to be actively now looking and getting ready to buy another house!

3rd job's the charm...

...you interested to know what going on?? I'll tell you later today! LOL.

HAPPY MONDAY

updated: Apparently no one is interested. But i'll tell you anyway. I haven't been all that happy at my job with the Hospital. Kevin told me his office was hiring, i inquired about the position, interviewed, was offered the position and accepted it! I have officially given my two weeks notice. We are way excited. It will be good. The pay will be much better then the hospital. Now we know where we will buy a house...in Jerome (Emily here we come!!). Since we will both be working there, there is no point in living in Twin and commuting. So that is the big news here. Here's to my 3rd job since December. LOL.

Sunday, February 10, 2008

new things

Yesterday we ran lots of errands. Some weren't planned on. Such as blowing a tire on our way to Walmart in Jerome. Luckily our tires were under warranty, so that was an easy fix. Thank goodness we had the tire paperwork in the car still. That could have been an expensive fix.

NEW TIES!

Kevin has been in need of some new ties for Chruch. Alot of his ties have been around since his mission (and before)! So Jeffrey told us he gets his ties at TJ Max. So we thought we'd check over there. We got Kevin three new ties yesterday - starting with the green one and working your way to the right. The one on the left is one we got a JCPenny about 2-3 weeks ago.

My "big" purchase yesterday were new shoelaces for my brown Doc boots. I bought these boots back in 1997! LOVE THEM! I haven't worn them lately cause the needed new laces. Well i found some yesterday. WOO HOO! Now i just need to polish them. LOL.

updates

Seeing how i haven't posted in like 2 weeks, i thought i would do some updates.

1. the bathroom wall has been repaired! WOO HOO!!! One night we could smell cigarette smoke in the house. we couldn't figure out where it was coming from. Apparently since it was too cold to stand outside and smoke our downstairs neighbor decided to sit in his bathroom with the fan on and smoke. Well it came right into our place. WE WERE PISSED!!!! We immediately left a phone message for the apartment office. This is a brand new building and it's SMOKE FREE. So i think we might have gotten him in a little bit of trouble. LOL. But boy did they fix the hole fast. To prevent future smoke coming up Kevin cover the hole with suran wrap and taped it closed. It worked great!

2. We had gotten quite a bit of snow over the past little while. Not as much as some other friends have gotten. But thankfully a lot of ours is GONE! Don't get me wrong. I love snow! But driving in it isn't always fun. People park like CRAP when it snows cause you can't see the parking lines. I HATE the ice it creates during the melting/re-freezing it does everyday. I am SO hungry for SPRING! The last fews days have been so nice! We have been hitting into the low 40s. WOO HOO! Kevin wishes the snow would stay. I'm sure we'll get more snow, it's only February.

3. We are still house hunting/deciding. We just want to make sure the area/neighborhood/ house are what we want. We plan on staying a while here.

4. I have a Doctors appt in Boise on March 7th to meet with a Fertility specialist/Dr. I met with an OB/GYN here at the end of January and she suggested with my past history and problems that we just start over there. So here's to hoping we can start our family soon!!! We are only going on 8yrs of Marriage this Summer! I feel like we get looks sometimes like, why don't you have kids? Don't you want kids?! It used to bug me SO BAD. I don't mind talking about it and stuff. Just don't accuse us of not wanting a family! oh, sorry about that. lol. just starting venting. lol.

5. PLEASE Check out Colonel Sanders Blog. The Colonel has been trying to keep things updated. He even has a contest on it right now.

we're leaking!

One of our shower pipes has been leaking into the apartment below us. So yesterday the maintenance guy came and cut two holes in our wall. Yup there is a leak! Hopefully they will fix it today.

Secret Shame

I was intrigued by the sight of this article. NKOTB! I must admit, back in the day, i was a fan. I think my sister Natalie may still have their Christmas tape. If so...I wouldn't mind a copy to bug the heck out of Kevin. :) LOL.

Call me...Mater

So Sunday we drove Kevin's car to church. I noticed he needed gas. I said "lets just get it now so you don't have to worry about it tomorrow." He said "no, i have plenty to get to & from work tomorrow. I'll just get it on the way home." "Fine" I said.

Well i called Kevin to see where he was so i can send him to the store to get some eggs for dinner. i say "so where are you?" He said "i'm on the side of the freeway." "Haha, no really where are you?" He replied "i ran out of gas about a mile from the off ramp. I need you to come tow me." So i had to drive out to Jerome, turn around and get right back on the freeway so i can get over to him to tow him to the gas station.

Whenever i see anyone on the side of the freeway, i always try to get into another lane farther from them to give them space. Well apparently alot of people don't think that way! People were FLYING by us at like 80 mph! Scared the crap out of me! well there was a huge break in traffic so off we went. going 40 mph. It was kind of funny looking back on it. I was kind of irritated when i first learned of his situation. He has done this in the past, this running out of gas cause "i can make it". Silly Kevin. he should have listened to his wife. :)

Trip to Rexburg

We made a trip to Rexburg the weekend of the 12th. We attended the Open House of the Rexburg Temple. IT IS SO BEAUTIFUL!!! We moved to Rexburg Nov 2005. The Temple with still pretty much a hole in the ground with a bit of cement sticking up. I wish i could find the pictures to show you. We spent the weekend with our friends the Larsen's. I was SO GOOD to see them after 2 months since moving away. Seems like much longer!!

This is a picture i took before we moved. I think sometime in September.

This is what some of the stain glass windows look like in the temple. They use the "wheat" throughout the temple it was awesome!!!

I imagined the day we went to the open house with clear blue sky, fluffy clouds, cold crisp air. What i got was a day SO Foggy that you couldn't see the temple till you were right up to it. I wouldn't have changed it for anything. It's absolutely GORGEOUS!! So sad it's not ours but it made me all the more excited for the Twin Falls Temple that will open sometimes this Spring/Summer.

Birthday Celebration

This weekend we celebrated our nephew Karter's 2nd Birthday! He LOVED his cake. He kept sticking his face in the cake trying to eat/lick it. We kept it to the corner of the cake. LOL.

This is little brother Karson.

Karter got this sweet little table and chair for all his coloring and drawing he LOVES to do. Here is Kevin & Karter enjoying his new gift.

Jeff was telling us how to play Bunco.

Snow Snow and more Snow

I left for work yesterday morning and we had NO snow on the ground, anywhere! It starts to try to snow when i am driving to work. Well apparently after i got there. It kept coming and coming and coming! It snowed ALL DAY!!! We have probably a good 5 inches of snow outside!!! WOO HOO!!! We have chances of snow through Friday! Very interested to see how much we will get in the end. This area REALLY needs to the snow in our mountains. We are in a huge drought. I'll try to get some pictures. I realize my blog has turned into just a lot of words.

Sunday...a day of rest...

...and i am up early because of a headache that wouldn't let me sleep.

Yesterday was quite busy. We worked out in the gym in the morning, ate breakfast, and got ready for the day. We went and bought a new muffler for the car so i wouldn't sound ghetto anymore. (More on the muffler later). We then went to our storage unit and moved our stuff from our HUGE unit to a much smaller unit. Now we can save some $$. We (just the two of us) did it all in just over 1.5 hours and all with our little Honda Accord! Kevin walked a few things over cause they just won't fit in a Honda. I am quite proud how quickly we got it done. There were two reason's for that: 1) we both didn't want to be there all day doing it. 2) we were very afraid that a huge storm was coming our way. Lots of wind and black clouds. Apparently the wind blew it away cause it never did rain. I said a little prayer "please let us get this moved before it rains." And then once we closed and locked the door I said another prayer of thanks and said "let it rain all you want Heavenly Father." Well it never did rain.

We then ran to Subway for lunch. Kevin had enough "subway points" to get a free large sandwich. So we just got the sandwiches to go and we went home to where we have our own drinks and chips. Nice cheap lunch! WOO HOO! Then it was off to Jerome to check the PO Box and go to Super Walmart. Where we decided after looking at a few food items, we would just make an extra stop and go to Winco for the food. Its a bit cheaper there. Though we always walk out with "extra" purchases. LOL. Then we were finally home for the evening at about 6pm. I bet i fell asleep somewhere around 9-9:30pm.

May i make a suggestion. NEVER go work out in the morning if you are going to move all your crap from one storage unit to another. I packed a few boxes a bit too heavy. LOL. Of course they are FILLED with books. LOL. Kevin said "we are never moving again!" I said "well at least once more when we buy our house this summer." he said "After that we are never moving again." I said "that's fine. And if we do move again then we will have a huge yard sale!"

New Years Day we did go to UT for the day. It only took us about 3.5 hours to get to Midvale/Sandy area. We went to help Kevin's brother Lynn & his family move. But by the time we got there at 10:30 we missed everything but the last load or two us stuff. They had great help from their ward. So we cleaned the old place went and saw the new place. Ate some lunch. And then we left to go home.

Now for the rest of the muffler story. We have been needing a new muffler for awhile now. We just use the muffler tape to fix the little holes and what not. But lately that tape just wasn't helping. We were hoping to wait till February to make the purchase. Well as Jeff & Kevin were helping with Lynn's move they had to pull into a small snow bank to get off the road. I think that's what finally killed the muffler. We were driving to lunch and went to pick up our niece from the babysitters and i heard this noise. I asked Kevin what we had in the trunk and he said nothing other then some blankets. Well we stop and look. THE MUFFLER FELL OFF AND WAS DRAGGING!! So we just pulled it the rest of the way off. It was a loud 3.5 hour drive home! So we made the purchase yesterday for a new one. We weren't going to drive to Rexburg next weekend with no muffler!

Before leaving UT we did get a chance to see our GREAT FRIENDS Chris & Sarah & their kids. It was for about an hour or so. We try to see them every time we go to UT. I think it's worked out every time as well. We would love to spend a full weekend with them. We miss them so much!!! I can not believe how grown up their kids are! We knew them pre-kids and were there for the birth of 2 of them. Not like at the hospital but living at the same apartment complex. Now they have a third and according to Sarah are done. She got her girl on the last one and she is Sarah's little mini-me. LOVE YOU GUYS!!!!

Work has been a bit crazy. Holiday's always make it more hectic. I had a bad afternoon at work on Thursday. I was on the phones and was getting overwhelmed and at about 4pm one called just did me in. I just took off my headset and walked away. My trainer had to finish the phone call! They sent for Lori to come find me in the bathroom. Not my best day. Things were better on Friday. I just have to give myself some slack. Here's to hoping for a better week. LOL.

update: Crap! Kevin reminded me. Church starts at 1:30. UGH!! I hate late church!
