A deal...

....with myself!

I have come to realize that i spend ALOT of time on the computer outside of work stuff. I may not post all the time on my blog...but i do check out other people's blogs. And i am on Facebook WAY more then i need to be. You seriously loose track of time when you are on there.

SO.....

I've made a deal with myself to get me off the computer and into the gym!

* For every 30 mins of workout i do = 10 minutes on the computer.

* For every day i go without a soda (of any type-diet-caffeine free, etc...) = 10 mins on the computer.

I am hoping this will help my reach my goal of loosing weight and getting healthy.

Rockin' Out

So i remembered at the last moment that my phone will do little video's (not the best quality). Here is Kevin rockin' with Natalie's boys. Sam on Guitar and Dallin on Drums. We had them switched early in the day, but forgot about the video capability on my phone. But enjoy! Sam is SO Steve (his dad-click on his name to see his video). All videos are roughly a minute long.

Jeff's Tricycle Adventure

So sometimes Kevin's brother Jeff swings by with his two boys when they are in town. Often it is because we are requiring his assistance with our cars. {Gotta love family that are mechanics.} ;) hee hee. Well, when they come over, they bring bikes/cars for the boys to play with. Karter (3yrs old) figured out that he could ride down the driveway of the house next to us--down the sidewalk-- and partially up our driveway. He LOVED doing this!! He thought Dad should have a turn. So Jeff rides the trike up to the other house (bare in mind...Jeff is 6'6") and Karter wanted him off so he could enjoy the ride down and not do the work to get the bike over there. Jeff said "Heck no!" and took it for a ride down the driveway.

Here are pics of his Adventure...

HAHAHA!!
It was awesome.
I think he should have had shoes on so those little rocks didn't hurt his feet.

"it was THIS big!"

You've all heard the fish stories...

I caught a fish "THIS big" and they hold their arms out as far as it goes...

Well...

We found a surprise in our garden today. I don't know where it was hiding from us, but we grew a zucchini "THIS big"....

No really we did...

(From my wrist to my shoulder. Pretty crazy!)

sounds of home...

...with my parents clock. This clock hung in my parents house the whole time i lived there (& probably before). After i got married they did some "upgrading" to the living room and i don't think the clock ever made it back onto the wall. I LOVE this clock. This clock to me sounds like home. When my parents came up last week they brought with them the clock for me (and a few more items). I was so excited!

Thankfully Kevin likes the ticking sound of the clock.

Miche Handbags

I was invited to a Miche Handbag party last night at a friends house. I had never heard of them before i got this invite. Jenni showed me hers at church this past Sunday. SO COOL!! It's the bag for women who LOVE purses and buy new ones all the time. They are kind of spendy, i think, but when you think about all the money & storage you need for a multitude of bags, it's worth it!

How it works is you buy a classic Black or Brown bag and then you just buy "shells" for it. So it's the same bag but the outside looks different. No having to switch your stuff from bag to bag. There are strong magnets that hold the shell on. The ladies that had them said they've never had a problem with the shells falling off.

HERE is the official site.

But you can find them on EBAY too.

** I was late to the party because i was meeting with the Bishop so i didn't get to hear the "schpeal" the lady gave. But the pictures don't do the bags justice. They are really adorable!! **

Last Boise Appointment...

This Friday we are heading to Boise for TWO reasons. Well, the first initial reason we were heading that way is for a Family Reunion for Kevin's mom's side of the family. I'm up for a little camping. We'll see how it goes. This is my first family reunion with his family...so we'll see if we go to more. hee hee. just kidding. i'm sure we'll go. ;)

But it turns out to be a great thing we were already heading that way cause I'll have my LAST appointment in Boise for the year with Dr. Slater. I chatted with the doc yesterday, as we had a 2week follow up phone call planned, after the news of our non-viable pregnancy. So she was pleased with how i told her the miscarriage is going cause hopefully that means no D&C. But she wants to do an u/s to make sure there is nothing left in there (just incase) and some bloodwork. So it just so happened we were going to be out that way anyway on Friday...so it worked out prefectly! We will also do the other bloodwork that she wants us to do to see if there are other problems causing our miscarriages. So hopefully we'll have some answers in the coming weeks.

mother nature

Mother Nature is finally taking it's course with this miscarriage. I have been waiting for it to happen since a week ago Friday, so i wouldn't have to have a D&C. But it couldn't have come on a worse weekend. We were supposed to attend our friends baby sealing at the Twin Falls Temple Saturday morning. I was fighting it (the pain) and really wanted to go. So we got ready and got on the freeway. But we had to turn around, i just couldn't do it. I AM SO SORRY Jeff & Jen. We wanted to be there so bad. We are so excited for you guys! Congrats!

Now, mother nature hurry & be done so i can get on with things.

nothing like starting all over again...

(Boot-Camp)
Oh how i LOVE & LOATH you!

Monday morning i went for my first class in about 2 months. I thought i was going to DIE! We started out by just jogging a mile around the track. I didn't think i could do it...but i did!!! Then we did all sorts of lunges, squats, push ups. Tuesday morning was a JOKE! I couldn't sit down to go potty for 2 days! I could barely walk "normal" - as much as a tried I'm sure it didn't look normal. LOL. Thursday was the first day i could walk without pain! Then of course there was class again this morning. Started out by jogging from the Rec Center up to the LDS church & back...about 1.6 miles! I jogged most of it, but walked some. I'm pretty proud of myself. But we'll see if i can move tomorrow. LOL.

** 12:15pm - just informed that our run may have been closer to 2-2.5 miles. i think I'll go clock it out tonight and see for sure. :D

Thank you

I feel like i am saying THANK YOU alot lately. And i am. But it's because i have the greatest Family & Friends. I have such a HUGE support system and it's awesome!! I just wanted to let you know how much i appreciate you all. I am doing pretty good. I think i was more prepared for this miscarriage then the first one, 5 years ago. It's still hard don't get me wrong, but i was a complete & udder wreck the first time. Friday was horrible. But the days are getting better.

Right now i am truly going to concentrate on myself. Get myself in the best possible shape that i can by next Spring when we try again. I know i keep hearing that my weight isn't the only issue with PCOS, but i know it's a factor. A factor that i should have control on...and apparently i don't. So that is my new goal. Get Control. :)

So tomorrow morning at 615am i will be at the Jerome Rec Center attending my first boot-camp class in MONTHS. I am going to die, but it will be awesome. Thanks Sarah B. for joining in the "fun" with me in the morning. :) I will also start attending my spinning classes again. The joy in the agony of getting in shape. I love it!

p.s. this is my 500th post. Crazy!!

Not Our Time

Went for the follow up ultrasound this morning. No heartbeat. The baby stopped growing at 6weeks. So now we try again another time.

THANK YOU for all your prayers on our behalf.

first vegg

Behold the glorious (first) bounty from our garden!
They were yummmy!

Sunset

I went to close the front window blinds last night and saw the most beautiful Sunset! I yelled to Kevin to get me the camera. The picture doesn't do it justice. But it's still pretty.

turning 300,000

So my mom bought a new Honda Accord back in 1986-87. I loved that car. We drove it to SOOO many volleyball practices and tournaments. It's seen it's fair share of the outside of a gym. When i got my drivers license i had the opportunity to drive her car to school on occasion while the other days driving my sisters car (mom & Nat would carpool to work) for 2 yrs. Then when i started going to San Bernardino Valley College, Natalie & I would car pool (she would drive) since we were both going to play volleyball there. Well Natalie ended up needing to drop out because of her knees. Well...i then needed a car. So we bought me a Red Toyota tercel. Named him Speedy...which is ironic because of his lack of speed. He was a good car, so i thought. He only lasted about 2-2.5 yrs. He died and was too expensive to fix. So then my mom came to me and said, "I have been wanting a new car how would you like to have the Honda?" I'm not sure my exact response but i'm sure it was something like, "Heck ya!!" So i have had it ever since 1999-ish. Kevin and I got married and were living in LA and i would drive it to Burbank everyday for work. We prayed that it would just last "one more year". THANKFULLY we were friends with a great "mechanic" (Chris Maz) that would work with Kevin on our car. thank you thank you!

Well here we are almost 9yrs into marriage and the 87' Honda-- which was named "Quarter Mil" since that's how many miles were on it when we decided to give it a name - is still plugging away.

Here are the latest pics of it turning over to 300,000 miles!!

TA-DA!!!!
We love you Qtr Mil. Please keep plugging away.

thank you

Thank you so much everyone for you thoughts, prayers and for the fast. That means so much to me!! I have been an emotional wreck. Tho i have to have hope that all will be well next Friday. We are currently at my in-laws, Kevin is helping take off the shingles on the roof so they can put a new set on. Last night my MIL and i ran over to the Rupert Hospital and did an HCG test (cause she works in the lab and they did it for free). My numbers are still increasing greatly. The tech that was working last night read in a book that they are right where they are supposed to be for how far along i am. But then he gave a "warning", he said "it just means your body is building something i can't say that it is geneticaly correct". Since he is no Dr, he didn't want to get my hopes up that everything will be OK. But to see the numbers so increased gave me some Hope. So that was nice. Thanks Linda!

ok news...

Well, we went to our appointment this morning in Boise. I was very anxious this morning. Tho very hopefully. We got called back pretty quick after arriving. The tech started the ultrasound and there in the WAY FAR UPPER right corner there is the sac. Just one. It was hard to get a good view of it with the "internal" u/s view...so we tried on top of the belly. Got a little better view. Still not great. I got even more anxious (& teary) and she was having a very hard time finding everything. She was concerned so she got the Doctor to come in and do a little viewing herself. So in comes Dr. Slater and she started taking a look. Sure enough the sac looks great, there's a yolk sac...but no heartbeat. It's measuring small tho...only 6wks 3days...when i should be 7 wks even. So the Doc said "it could be a late bloomer." So we have to go back next Friday morning and there should definitely be a heartbeat and it will be bigger so hopefully easier to see things. At this point the doctors says it's a 50/50 shot of being a viable pregnancy. If there is no heartbeat i will be devistated.

So here's to hoping we checked too early.
